Position Overview

We're looking for an AI Applications Engineer to help drive Notion's business transformation efforts. In this role, you'll be a strategic partner to our internal stakeholders (primarily GTM, Finance and People teams) and prototype, validate and ship creative AI-driven solutions to multi-faceted problems that deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Work with your stakeholders to discover opportunities from ambiguous problem statements and translate them into proofs‑of‑concepts
  • Prototype end‑to‑end AI solutions from problem framing through data readiness, modeling, evaluation, and initial productization
  • Create reusable components, tooling, and templates to accelerate future projects

Requirements & Skills

  • 4-8 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Scientist or an equivalent role at a technology company any, familiarity with ML/AI, LLMs in production systems, and a high-level understanding of how business processes and systems work end to end. Domain experience partnering with GTM and Finance a plus.
  • Impact-driven approach to technology: You see technologies as tools to achieve user impact rather than ends in themselves. You care more about building successful systems that solve real problems than about using specific tech stacks or following trends. You stay current with the latest tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI-assisted development environments, you're pragmatic about choosing the right tool for the job, focusing on what delivers the most value to users and the business.

You excel at building alignment between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex AI concepts into actionable business outcomes.
