Research Scientist, Agents for Science

About the Role

We are a non-profit AI institute focused on developing foundational AI research. As a Research Scientist on the Agents for Science team, you will drive the development of AI systems with deep reasoning capabilities for scientific applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to open source research environment
• Take a leading role in building artifacts and implementing software systems
• Author and present high-quality scientific papers
• Collaborate with team members across Ai2
• Mentor early-career researchers and interns

Requirements

• PhD focusing on machine learning, reasoning, NLP, or related area
• Expertise in reinforcement learning, experimental methodology, language models
• Ability to own and pursue a research agenda
• Enthusiasm for collaboration and teamwork
• Experience leading a team to solve analytical problems (a plus)
