Postdoctoral Young Investigator position on the FlexOlmo team working on Mixture-of-Experts, long-context language models, and retrieval. Based in Berkeley, CA.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a high-impact research project
• Train and release leading models
• Collaborate with team members
• Build open-source software
• Author papers for top conferences
• Mentor junior researchers

Requirements

• PhD in CS or related field (or within one year of completing)
• Outstanding IC skills with PyTorch
• Outstanding publication record at NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, COLM, ACL, EMNLP
• Experience with LLMs, training dynamics, scaling laws
• Located in Berkeley, CA
